Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 10, 2026

Club Kokomo Spirits, Inc. ("Club Kokomo," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, share, and protect personal information when you visit clubkokomospirits.com (the "Site"), place an order, subscribe to our emails, or otherwise interact with us.

By using the Site, you consent to the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly:

  • Name, email address, shipping and billing address, and phone number when you place an order or subscribe.
  • Date of birth or age confirmation for age verification (21+).
  • Payment card information (processed and stored by our third-party payment processor — we do not store full card numbers on our systems).
  • Order history, product preferences, and any messages you send us (through info@ckspirits.com, contact forms, or reviews).
  • Content you submit (product reviews, tasting notes, photos, testimonials).

Information collected automatically:

  • Device and browser information (IP address, browser type, operating system, screen resolution, referring URL).
  • Site-usage data (pages viewed, time on page, click paths, cart activity, add-to-cart and purchase events).
  • Location information at the city/region level, inferred from your IP address, to determine shipping eligibility.
  • Cookies, pixels, and similar tracking technologies (see Section 5).

Information from third parties:

  • Marketing platforms (Klaviyo), analytics providers (Google Analytics), advertising platforms (Meta, Google Ads, and other advertising partners we may add), and review platforms (Judge.me) may share aggregated or hashed identifiers back with us.
  • Our compliance-technology partner (AccelPay) and licensed retailer partner (Liquor Geeks) provide us with order status, age-verification results, fraud flags, and fulfillment data.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Verify that you are 21 or older;
  • Process and fulfill orders (including sharing with our compliance-technology partner AccelPay, our licensed retailer of record Liquor Geeks, carriers, and our San Diego distillery for California fulfillment);
  • Communicate about your order, account, or customer-service requests;
  • Send marketing emails (only if you have opted in) — you may unsubscribe at any time via the link in every email;
  • Personalize your Site experience and product recommendations;
  • Measure Site performance, conversion, and marketing effectiveness;
  • Detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, chargebacks, or violations of our Terms;
  • Comply with applicable laws, including alcohol shipping regulations, age-verification requirements, and tax obligations;
  • Enforce our agreements and protect our rights and the rights of our customers.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information for money.

We share limited information with the following categories of recipients:

  • Service providers — Shopify (e-commerce platform), AccelPay (alcohol-compliance and payment-routing technology), Klaviyo (email and SMS marketing), Google (Analytics, Ads, Search Console), Meta (Pixel, ads), Judge.me (reviews), and shipping carriers. Each is contractually required to use your information only to provide services to us.
  • Licensed alcohol retailers — to fulfill your order under the three-tier distribution model, we transmit your order details to the retailer of record in your state. Liquor Geeks is our primary licensed retailer of record for orders shipped outside California, and for California orders exceeding the three-bottle limit under our California Type 74 Craft Distiller license. You may see "Liquor Geeks" on your shipping notification or billing statement. California orders of three 750 ml bottles or fewer are fulfilled directly from our licensed distillery in San Diego under our Type 74 license.
  • Legal and regulatory — we may disclose information to law enforcement, regulators (including state alcohol boards, TTB, and tax authorities), or courts when required by law, subpoena, or valid legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Club Kokomo, our customers, or the public.
  • Business transfers — in the event of a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of the transaction, subject to the same protections.
  • With your consent — for any other purpose disclosed to you at the time.

Under California and other state privacy laws, certain sharing for advertising purposes (e.g., cookie-based ads on Meta or Google) may be considered "sharing" or "sale." You may opt out — see Section 7.

4. Marketing Communications

If you opt in to our email list (through the Site, checkout, WELCOME10 signup, or the tasting-room waitlist), we will send you marketing emails about new products, promotions, events, and cocktail recipes. You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email or emailing info@ckspirits.com. Transactional emails (order confirmations, shipping updates) will still be sent because they are necessary for your order.

5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies, pixels, local storage, and similar technologies to:

  • Keep you signed in to your cart;
  • Remember your age-verification status for a limited time;
  • Analyze Site traffic (Google Analytics — GA4 property G-H5YKG3J4Y6);
  • Support advertising and remarketing on Meta, Google, and other platforms;
  • Enable review widgets and other embedded features.

Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies. Doing so may cause parts of the Site to work incorrectly, and you may need to re-verify your age on each visit.

We do not currently respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals, but we do honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals for California and similar-state residents as an opt-out of cross-context behavioral advertising.

6. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as needed to provide services, comply with our legal obligations (including alcohol-shipping records and tax records, which we generally retain for 7 years), resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may request deletion of your account or information at any time — see Section 7.

7. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you;
  • Correct inaccurate information;
  • Delete your personal information (subject to legal record-keeping exceptions);
  • Port your information to another service;
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of your information for cross-context behavioral advertising;
  • Limit the use of sensitive personal information;
  • Not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

California residents (CCPA/CPRA): you may exercise these rights by emailing info@ckspirits.com with the subject line "California Privacy Request" or by using the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link in our Site footer (when available). We will verify your identity before responding. You may designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf.

Other U.S. state residents (VA, CO, CT, UT, and others with comprehensive privacy laws): similar rights apply. Email info@ckspirits.com to submit a request.

Nevada residents: you may opt out of the "sale" of personal information as defined by Nevada law by emailing info@ckspirits.com.

We will respond within the time period required by applicable law (generally 45 days). We do not charge to process requests, though we may deny manifestly unfounded or excessive requests as permitted by law.

8. Children's Privacy

The Site is not intended for anyone under 21. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors under 13 (as defined by COPPA) or from anyone under 21. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please email info@ckspirits.com and we will delete it promptly.

9. Security

We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. Our storefront runs on Shopify, which is PCI-DSS compliant, and payments are processed by an alcohol-compliant, PCI-certified processor. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we experience a data breach affecting your information, we will notify you as required by applicable law.

10. International Users

Club Kokomo currently ships within the United States to 46 states and cannot ship to Alaska, Hawaii, Mississippi, or Utah due to state alcohol laws. We process information on servers located in the United States. If you access the Site from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, which may have data-protection laws different from those in your country. By using the Site, you consent to this transfer.

11. Third-Party Services

The Site links to and integrates with third-party services (Shopify, AccelPay, Liquor Geeks, Klaviyo, Google, Meta, Judge.me, payment processors, carriers, and others). Each has its own privacy policy governing its collection and use of your information. We encourage you to review those policies. We are not responsible for the practices of third parties.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted at this URL with an updated "Last updated" date. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through a prominent Site notice before the changes take effect.
